Trixie's bio
I grew up in Swan Quarter, N.C. and have been hangin around c lose by all my life. I like hometown life in deatern N.C. - from the "S" turns in Rodanthe, to ramp 27 in Ocracoke, not to mention the gorgeous soundside sunsets - I'm glad to call the area home.
I like locally grown anything, seafood, fresh veggies, as well as art and music. I love to ease into a Sunday morning with Ken's Country (every Sunday from 7 to 10 a.m.). Other days, I'm not so much a morning person. Luckily, I have a great coffee maker and a sweet husband who knows how to work the durn thing. Also, Ray Turner in the morning helps to get my brain going with the Morning Mind Bender, weekdays at 7:35, where I learn something new each day. Half the time I have to unlearn something I thought I already knew. I NEVER get to be the Grand High Poobah. Well, once I was and it was like royalty for a day. I could use some tutoring from Zack, the 6th grader from Hatteras. He gets to be the Poobah a lot. Trixie's favorite things I favor sunsets, stars, water and wide open spaces. I dig all kinds of good music, too (especially local rockers Three Quarter Slug). Overall, I enjoy kickin' back with people I know, as well as new friends. I am usually not far from my husband, "Lord Byron," on our sister station Beach 104. The two of us have a pretty good time where ever we go. Favorite foods
Soft crabs in the summer, Rockfish in the winter (hopefully) and chocolate all year long. What's in my CD player

ps...My real name is Megan. My "radio name" is in honor of my great grandmother Beatrix M. Mathews, or grandma Trixie.
